I got inspired tonight. Actually, even though I don't scrapbook a lot lately, I still come up with layouts in my head. It's habit. Occasionally I even sketch layouts in my notes when I've had my fill of equations and graphs in class.
This first layout came to me immediately, during an after class parking lot conversation with a friend. I came home from school the other week and told Matt I was going to make it. And tonight, I did.
And this one, well, I've wanted to scrap this picture for a couple years now. Had it stored away in an album. Tonight while I was looking for a picture of Matt and me for the above layout, I saw this picture of Stephanie and me and thought it was perfect for this paper.
Maybe two months ago I painted up this old paper after taking an online course from Big Picture Scrapbooking with Emily Falconbridge. I love that she uses old unloved paper and fixes it up with paint and stamps and bits of whatever. Scrapbook recycling. And yes, this page is a bit of a rip off of her style, but I like it, so I think I'll be using paint more and more.
Nice to have a little art break again.
On the puppy naming front, we've had a couple off line votes for Ellie, and a lot of comments saying to wait and see. We also enjoyed getting some creative naming suggestions from Kady. You can always count on our niece for "Tina" when anything needs to be named. Her favorite name.
We're trying to test out Ellie for a few days, instead of automatically calling her Mopsy. 7 days! I have doggie scrapbooking paper ready to go. ;)
