Last weekend my parents and my aunt came out for a long weekend visit. We had a great time, and we did a lot of fun stuff in between me stressing out a bit about how I was going to get everything done for graduate school. With their visit right on the heels of my in-laws' visit, I was feeling behind. But, as this week has proved, being behind is just how it's going to be. Since our first papers are due tomorrow and our reading assignments increased even more, I'm just as behind this week. Even though I wrote reports for a living for the past three years, I'm apparently very rusty at writing papers.
So, since I need a quick break, and we finally found the camera battery charger, here are a few photos from their visit. A quick reminder that I do indeed have a life beyond a computer screen and endless reviews of government reports.
More to follow when I can pry myself from this machine and my homework to locate our other camera.
A late afternoon, end of season visit to the beach in North Scituate, after an impromptu trip to the farmer's market in Cohasset.
After some time spent in Boston, we sat down in a courtyard in the North End to indulge in the world's most sinful cannoli from Mike's Pastry. This is one has a praline shell. Oh boy. I have a sweet tooth, but I had to eat it over two days.
And during this snack and rest break, I caught a picture of my parents teasing each other. It's fun capturing people unposed, especially my dad since he hates posing for pictures.
That's all for tonight. Hope you're not up as late as I am!
