A few shots from my grandpa's camera. Some of the shots were better than others. There isn't a flash which is definitely needed for any portraiture. But the last picture isn't too bad for a self-timer shot in the woods without a flash.
We're off tomorrow for our vacation. It's supposed to be 80 degrees and sunny all week in Portland, which will provide a sorely needed break from the rain. The weather person on the radio this morning actually said, "You know the drill. Showers and thunderstorms this afternoon." Imagine...we're going to the Pacific Northwest to escape the rain.
Oh, and it looks like I'll be a "visiting lecturer" in the fall. I need to meet with the Associate Dean the week we get back and go to Human Resources to fill out paperwork. This is the culmination of three semesters of sending out resumes for a position. As it goes with me, when I give up hope, a door opens.
Well, whatever you're doing (the first leg of your move home to the midwest after living in Seattle for four years, or seeing your newborn baby niece for the first time) have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!!
