Matt asked me what the date was last night and I told him the 20th. He responded, "Of July? Really? Tomorrow is our anniversary!!!" We both forgot we've been so busy. So sad. We're in a time warp. But nonetheless, yeah for us!
Matt is in Connecticut this week working, which means we get to see each other after work (Yeah!). We are flying out of Hartford Friday morning to go to Grand Rapids because Matt is a groomsman in the wedding of our friends Adam and Leanne. It will be a whirlwind trip. We are leaving from Hartford because Boston is basically shutting down for the Democratic National Convention (go Kerry!). The expressway we use to "go into town" as they say here, is shutting down in the city which is how we get to the airport. Things in Hartford are going pretty well but I'm basically emersed in research boot camp so its hard to concentrate on anything else. My thesis is due really soon and I'm dangerously close to my deadline. So bad. After two years of crashing regularly, our computer finally just stopped turning on last week, so that was a set back. But this week I can use Matt's laptop after work, so I will be done soon. I'm editing my draft. The one fun thing we did this weekend was that Scituate had two days of fireworks. We didn't know this but we were pleasantly surprised. We could see them right outside our bedroom window. We missed them on the 4th, so it was very fun. And they were some of the best fireworks we've ever seen. They set off like 20 at a time during the grand finale so our whole bedroom window was filled with fireworks. You had to be there, but it was unreal. I have some new pics but won't have time until I turn in that thesis to put them up... Soon enough I'll have a life again!
